Sandy Course Success

Two Cadets from 22 (Sandy) Squadron recently passed their Corporal to Sergeant Course, held at RAF Henlow, Bedfordshire.

The course started on began on the evening of Friday 8th February, through till Sunday, and is run by the Bedfordshire & Cambridgeshire Wing training team. The purpose of the course is to provide cadet senior non-commissioned officers with a thorough understanding of their roles and responsibilities.

The course covers many aspects such as leadership, drill theory, communication, and also instructional techniques training, which on completing their Master Air Cadet exams, allows them to wear the yellow instructor cadet lanyard.

Cadet Sergeant Laura Dorrell said, “It was one of the best weekends I have had in the ATC, and I took home a lot of useful new skills”.
