22 (Sandy) Squadron Air Training Corps is a squadron that prides itself with it's work in the Community, and with the Local Council in helping out in local events and raising money for charities, such as the Royal Air Force Association Wings Appeal, the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, various Charity Balls and duties for the Town Mayor.

The Squadron was formed in the year 2000 so in comparison to others is a fairly new Squadron. We now have a twelve strong Staff team who work very hard to give the Cadets every opportunity there is to gain what is on offer within the Air Cadet Organisation.  Team work, dedication, motivation, enthusiasm, commitment and fun are an important part of Squadron life for Cadets as well as Staff.

Our training syllabus is not that of School, but a more interactive and relaxed learning experience. We want our cadets to enjoy learning, and achieve to the best of their abilities, and also to gain pride and initiative from the activities we offer.

Be it academic subjects, sports, shooting, flying, outdoor activities, you will not forget being an Air Cadet, and at 22 Squadron, you are part of a team that work together to achieve results.
