Thanks from Op Telic 16 Oct 03
Cadets from 22 (Sandy) Squadron have received a letter of thanks and a photograph from the Squadron Warrant Officer of No1 Composite Resident Field Squadron on Op Telic based in Ali Al Salem in Iraq, thanking them for their thoughtfulness and efforts in collecting welfare packages for the recipients, the RAF Regiment.
After listening to news bulletins about Op Telic, the Cadets decided they had to
do something for the RAF to make sure the Troops were not forgotten out in Iraq.
So they started collecting non perishable and luxury items, sweets, toilet rolls
and sun tan lotion, also including some Air Cadet Magazines for them to read
whilst out there.
Grateful thanks to R&D at RAF Henlow and WO CISEng at RAF Honington for
co-ordinating, their help was much appreciated.
