Flying & Gliding

There air plenty of opportunities for cadets to get in the air, whether it's an Air Exepriance Flight with RAF pilots or a flight in one of the Air Cadets very own gliders. You will even be given the chance to take control of the aircraft for yourselff.

Cadets also get the chance to fly in operational helicopters and transport aircraft of the RAF on the occasions when they are either on summer camp or on a visit to an RAF base.

Rarely, an exceptional cadet may even be rewarded with a flight in a fast jet such as the Hawk, like the ones flown by the Red Arrows, or a flight to a British base abroad, such as RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus.
